How FanDuel Sportsbook Works

FanDuel organizes its sportsbook by sport, league and event. Customers can select a sport from the main navigation, open an event and then choose from the available pre-game or live markets.

The bet slip displays the selections, current odds, stake and potential return before the wager is submitted. Odds can change before submission, particularly on live markets.

FanDuel Same Game Parlay and SGP+

FanDuel’s Same Game Parlay feature allows two or more eligible selections from the same event to be combined into one wager.

SGP+ extends the format by allowing compatible selections from additional games to be combined with a Same Game Parlay. Live Same Game Parlay and SGP+ markets can also be available after an event has started.

Not every market can be combined. FanDuel determines which selections are eligible and recalculates the combined odds as legs are added or removed.

Adding more selections changes both the potential return and the likelihood that every required outcome is correct. The final odds displayed in the bet slip should be reviewed before submission.

FanDuel Live Betting

Live betting allows eligible wagers to be placed after an event has started. FanDuel updates the available markets and prices as the event progresses.

Depending on the sport and event, live markets can include updated spreads, totals, moneylines, player props and Same Game Parlay selections.

Live odds can change quickly. FanDuel can temporarily suspend a market following scoring plays, injuries, reviews and other events while the price is recalculated.

FanDuel Cash Out

FanDuel’s Cash Out feature can allow an eligible wager to be settled before the event or market has finished.

When Cash Out is available, FanDuel displays the current Cash Out value within the Active Bets section. The customer can review that value before choosing whether to submit the request.

Cash Out is not available on every wager and can be suspended or removed during an event. Its presence at one point does not mean it will remain available later.

FanDuel Odds and Pricing

Sportsbook prices differ between operators and can also change throughout the day. FanDuel therefore should not be assumed to have the same price as DraftKings, bet365, BetMGM or another sportsbook on a particular market.

For example, one sportsbook may list a player at +150 while another lists the same selection at +160. The underlying selection is unchanged, but the potential return differs.

Same Game Parlays and other multi-selection wagers use combined pricing. Their structure is different from comparing the price of a single market across sportsbooks.
